It’s a packed and constantly busy after ski place and bar down the slope. We few times grabbed a bite and drink after skiing. Because of the place business, you need to “hunt” for the seat and most likely it will be dirty and tables...never clean. However, surprisingly the food is great! Simple dishes, but finally something more than Schnitzels and very well done. I had shrimp salad that I truly enjoyed and other food looked well too, therefore it’s not a bad place to eat at after skiing if you get a table. The service is very slow too, it’s a mess and Ofcourse waiters don’t have a break, but it’s still not pleasant for customers to wait for bill or to order for forever.
We came for a late lunch and sat inside as it was busy outside there were many free tables inside. It's just table service and it took a while until our waitress showed up. After things got slower, the drinks were slow to arrive and the food was very slow to arrive. I think it was 35 40 minutes from arrival to dinner. I enjoyed the cheese salad of the goat, small and expensive, but you expect that today from St Anton. I enjoy the slow service that consumed my time on the slopes. Lift passes are not cheap and this is not acceptable, especially as there is no warning, and no obvious reason.
If you're wanting to experience an unfriendly hot chocolate sitting then this is the place to visit. Such a shame as my daughters visited this place 5 years ago and loved it so they were super excited to ski back here and enjoy their hot chocolate (which by the way are still delicious). The woman there was so rude and hostile to them, my husband then joined them and she was also terribly rude to him so when I finally arrived my whole family sprung up from their seats and we left abruptly, not a pleasant stop for any of us.
This place goes well over a regular acres ski area. had my best soup and trout here. Try the Arlberg soup bowl and the smoked trout. Both can be served in every fine restaurant. The drinks are also amazing. I had Lillet with... It was fantastic. The service was also excellent. Don't miss it and don't just drink beer.
Apres ski here is great, we loved the music and really loved the saxophonist who played, great atmosphere for a couple of hours.The food platters are really nice to share with a glass of wine. Straight down the piste and end up directly at the bar, great location when the sun is going Down.
