Ordered a fairly standard meal tonight (NYE, I get that's difficult). Meal arrived missing a calzone which was the majority of my meal. I called the restaurant and it became pretty clear they just never made the calzone (the pizza guy apparently left before my order). Instead of calling, they just delivered the rest of the order and kept the 20% driver tip. They wouldn't call the driver and their only remedy was for me to come in 2 days after New Year's for God knows what. There were a lot of ways to handle this decently and they didn't. This place should be called Basura and cross contamination. Dirty floors. Dingy and chipped dishes. Psycho and disgusting girl, answering the phone. Terrible delivery, service. Food, is far from Italian, let alone, Gourmet. Burned pizza, over cooked pasta. Burnt, garlic nots. Flavorless entrees. Seriously! Close this place and put a Domino’s, there. At least, you know what you’re getting, other than food poisoning.
The pizza was an hour and a half late on my first order. It wasn’t bad, so I decided to give them another chance. However, despite being listed on Seamless and being only 6 miles away, the manager refused to deliver my second order, claiming we were too far for such a small tip (which was the standard 15% gratuity for all app orders). It seems the manager lacks the ability to make reasonable decisions.
The food was excellent. Every pasta dish we tried was exceptional. The wedges were fantastic, and the bread, topped with sesame seeds, was toasted to perfection. The pizza was the best I’ve ever had in Danbury. The garlic knots were also very good, but I found the pricing a bit odd when it came to adding more items to our order.
