My wife and I were somewhat hesitant to try the Batifol based on our view from the parking lot of the Ambassadeur Hotel where it is located and we were staying. The parking is only feet from the restaurant windows and the car headlights had to be distracting in that section of the restaurant. It also appeared from the outside to be somewhat dated decor and in actuality was a strange mix of very nice chandeliers and lighting and coffee shop lights, elegant and yet mixed with wooden strip paneling. However, the hotel reception said it was the best without going back into Quebec proper so we gave it a try.We were pleasantly surprised. The service was the worst service I have received from any restaurant I have been too. We had to wait 20 minutes to be seated.Our food was not brought to us be our waiter. The food was average for the price we paid. Our wait never came back to ask us if our meals were good or need anything else. We waited at least 15 minutes after eating to have our plates cleared.Our waiter never asked if we wanted desert or coffee or more wine or another drink.I had to go up to the bar to wait another 15 minutes to get our bill so I could pay it.I hope this is not because we are English that we received this type of service!!!!!This type of service is not acceptable by restaurant to give to their customers...
Terrible service food. We ordered 2 main courses, 1 appetizer, 1 dessert and 2 drinks. We made a reservation for 6 pm, by 8 pm we got only the appetizer. We went to the waiter to cancel the order bc we had to leave, he said : the food is ready in the kitchen, I'll bring it now. Why do you complain? You got some food already. No apologise. We agreed to eat the main courses, the burger was disgusting, soggy fries made in old oil, bad arancini (felt like they were frozen, no taste), pasta tasted like what I would imagine a gas station would make. I would give 0 stars if I could.
Dinner was Amazing, I didn't think that a restaurant in a Hotel could be that good. Then the waiter told us that it wasn't own by the Hotel, although they have a great relationship with each other... My wife ate the filet of Walleye in la table d'hôte and I took the Veal Flank steak with blue cheese sauce, the both were amazing. And dessert... well let the waiter explain to you there speciality, and you can even have a taste of the sky. I would recommend this restaurant anytime... Thanks for a amazing meal and wonderful service.

Large menu for adults, children, apres-ski or dining out with a large group. Friendly staff to accommodate your needs. Large selection of Pasta, chicken, fish, tartares, escargots, beef, calamari, garlic bread, pulled pork sandwiches.
we have been there twice already and both visit were menoum menoum... breakfast both time, and we were very happy, good portion, service was good, good food, worth every pennies. hope to see you there.... ;)
