This small bar is located in the old part of Limburg on the Main Street, close to the Dom Hotel. Around a 5 minute walk from the train station. It is a relatively small bar with an old style feel to the decor and very cosy too, which was ideal considering that it was cold outside. There is a reasonable selection of local beers, which do taste very good indeed. My intention was not to eat here, however I could not resist the bratwurst and frankfurter meals, both served with mustard and pretzel. Real basic food and goes well with a beer. Nice cafe. Perfect location – next to “Café Meloni” and “Eiscafe Venezia”, just on the main square in the historic center and not far from the Dome. Limburg is generally a small town. But though I should note two drawbacks. First, they do not accept credit cards. However, for Germany it is quite common. Secondly, the staff (very friendly, by the way) has apparent difficulties with English. Although this can be seen as a good sign – it means that cafe focused on locals who composed the majority of visitors. Diese Kneipe liegt mitten in der Altstadt, wenige Schritte entfernt vom Domhotel. Da das Hotel leider keine Bar hat, hat man mir den Tipp gegeben, mal nach nebenan zu gehen.Der Batzewert ist eine typisch deutsche Kneipe im besten Sinne. Klein, eng, voll, laut und superfreundlich. Ein ausgesprochen nettes Personal und ebensolche Gäste, fröhlich und immer zu einem Schwatz aufgelegt. Hier nahm ich gern einen Absacker am späten Abend. Empfehlenswert!
Ein Kultobjekt in der Limburger Altstadt. Gehört einfach dazu... Gutes eigenes Hausbier "Batzebier" mit gehaltvollem Geschmack in naturtrüber Form. Sollte man probieren! Dazu eine kleine aber feine und wechselnde Auswahl an klassischen deutschen Speisen wie Handkäs' mit Musik, Wurstsalat oder Frankfurter Grie Soss mit Eiern und Pellkartoffel.Toller Laden mit Flair! Die Bedienungen sind okay, aber nicht immer auf Nettigkeit aus. Aber passt schon.

Hay asientos al aire libre, pero era una llovizna ligera, así que comimos en el interior. No hay demasiadas mesas. Agradable camarera y servicio. Cada uno de nosotros tenía que WeiswURTS, Frau tenía vino y tenía coca cola. Precio decente. Agradable
Hier treffen sich Touristen und Einheimische bei gutem rustikalen einheimischen Essen und Trinken. Sie können auf Bänken draußen Essen und Trinken und das tägliche Treiben ansehen und genießen.
War am 16.August 2016 bei Hochbetrieb Gast. Meine Gulaschsuppe war vorzüglich und die Bedienung sehr freundlich und fleißig ! Kommer sehr gern wieder!
