Carsten Henn is for me almost a bank; his judgment almost always covers with his own observations. But at Julia Floß, for example, I sometimes have problems. I'm sure it's mine. The young learned cook may be quite different from me. That's all right, because where would we go if everyone had the same taste? Nevertheless, I read the article about “beautiful” cafes and looked out one of them in the area. Finally, we had already consumed a “Pulled Pork” on Aachener Straße and a coffee and a piece of cake...
the caffe bauturm is beautifully decorated and has a large selection of breakfast alternatives. some broth varieties and coatings, but also jogurh, obst and müsli are offered. also vegan alternatives are available. we were satisfied with our selection consisting of coffee, juice, bread and rolls with sliced and fruit salad. However, it took longer than thought until the food came. Moreover, the food did not come completely, so we had to divorce to get everything ordered. the service was in order, neither unfriendly nor outstanding nice.
Long wait for everything. drinks forgotten. Ordered food all together.. one out of four meals was totally forgotten about, so we did not eat all together. Waited minutes for this to come. Food when it arrived was average. When we explained that we...felt the late meal should be taken off the bill, this was refused. Response of the staff was rude and unhelpful tried to blame us as the customers for what went wrong! Would not recommend this place to anyone!
the cappuccino was weak and tasted like milk that had been told about the existence of coffe. The espresso was too sour and not hot. Overall everything coffee was decidedly...not good. Service was friendly however and I hear that the last slice of tiramisu cake,...the friend I visited the cafe with had, was quite tasty. Still... two stars is enough as the coffee really wasn‘t good

Estábamos buscando un sitio para cenar cerca del hotel y este café nos llamo la atención. No tenían muchas opciones en la carta pero encontramos, pero aún así cenamos bien. Buen servicio y buena música ambiental. Nos gustó tanto el sitio que fuímos otro día a desayunar. Para el desayuno tienen muchísimas opciones y puedes diseñarlo a tu gusto. Si volvemos a Colonia repetiremos.
I recently spent one night in Koln alone and having rather embarrassingly Googled "hipster Koln", this little gem popped up.My barman Adrian couldn't have been friendlier. He and the other members of staff were obviously having a great time working at the bar and were kind enough to chat to me throughout the evening!Great music, super friendly staff and ace vibes.
Awesome coffee and breakfast. I really liked the atmosphere, the decoration, and the seating. It's very beautiful inside. Why only four stars then? In my rating scheme, I must be willing to travel a detour of mins and more to give five stars. And...as much as I liked the place, this would be a tad too much to ask ;
Located on lively and trendy Aachener Strasse, Café Bauturm is famous for its organic breakfast and well-known for its design interior. Very good atmosphere, friendly and quick service. I will definitely return and can highly recommend it.

Café Bauturm serves awesome breakfast a lot of organic ingredients and absolutely everything is just delicious. Their coffee is awesome as well. Service is sometimes a little slow, but this is a must for breakfast lovers!
wonderful brunch on Sunday - abundant but also priced - all organic is simply not free - o Juice, ei in the glass
