Bay Leaves - Reserva de mesa

We first came to Bay Leaves when we moved back to Epsom in 2015, which was a really pleasurable experience back then. We popped in here on Friday 13th Oct 2023 in the hopes we were able to get a table, and thankfully we did. The gentleman on duty gave us a very warm welcome, and we felt valued as soon as we walked through the door. We started with the obligatory poppadoms, which cames with what I think was finely chopped red onion and red peppers in a lovely sweet red juice. My husband chose lamb madras, and I had lamb dhania, together with coconut rice and the most buttery tasting saag aloo on the planet, chippati and a peshawari naan. Had a take away from here this evening. So disappointing. Every curry looked the same. Just liquid, very watery with chicken pieces in it. No pieces of anything in the sauce. Tasted pretty much like water too. Worst curry I’ve ever had. Have been to the restaurant for a meal before and food was good so I’m guessing sadly there is more effort put into the dishes served face to face. Won’t be using this place again.

A favourite restaurant for us and one we use at least once a month. The menu is extensive and very reasonable given the high standard of the food and service. The restaurant is always clean and very tidy and the service is faultless. Thanks to all the team at Bayleaves.

First time using this place . Always a gamble but we really enjoyed this takeaway. Delivery driver friendly and food hot . We used a local place in Ewell for years but sadly it went down hill. This will be our new go to place from now on reasonably priced also. Reserva una mesa ahora

Nice enough food but staff after about 9.30pm cant hide their desire for you to leave so they can go home. Noticed this on a number of occasions. Shame as sometimes you might want another drink after the meal but not made to feel welcome then.

Absolutely fantastic Indian takeaway, I've not had better Indian food in London (and I've had a LOT). 100% recommended, great fresh ingredients, and free

Food was delicious, decent delivery time, food was really hot. Good portion sizes, will be ordering again.

My go to for Indian food, plenty of it, piping hot and delivered early. Never been disappointed by them.
