Beachwood Cafe - Reserva de mesa

One of the most embarrassing places to eat. I took my mother out for breakfast at this small cafe we use to go to, the beach wood, we still decided to go even with the negativity around the name after the old owners left. We ordered the basic breakfast and didn’t even get our food, it took 45 minutes of us(2 people) waiting patiently. I eventually went to the foodpass and saw the staff (3) standing around talking and then when confronted about the lack of service and food, they quickly apologized. I told them we are leaving due to the extraordinary long wait, and they said “you can’t do that”. I responded yes I can we haven’t even got our food (the time was now approaching a 50 minute wait)....

Have been to this restaurant at least 8 times over the years, always enjoying brunch here. Unfortunately this wasn't one of those times. Strike 1: Sent back a dirty coffee cup. Strike 2: Even though the brunch rush was over and there were lots of vacant tables, it took a long time to get the Blackstone bennies my son and I had ordered. Strike 3: While my eggs were done medium as requested (with a side of hash browns that were warm not hot unfortunately), my son's eggs were hard so we sent his order back. By the time his reorder came back I was done eating and sat and watched him eat. Brunch isn't rocket science. If you are going to serve brunch it should be done well and served hot.I guess t...

Not so good. Mediocre at best. The basic breakfast is $15.99. 2 eggs, bacon, ham or sausage, hash browns and toast. I had the two sausage links, shredded hash browns and sourdough toast. The toast was undercook, the hash browns were not hot, but only warm. Only 2 sausages. I thought to was all not so great for $16.00.

The burgers were excellent friendly service...paid extra for the poutine. Saw him warm up something in the microwave...realized when I got it that he'd warmed up the gravy with the cheese curds in it. Turned it into a glob of rubber. Don't pay the extra. Disappointed!!! Reserva una mesa ahora

Coming back to this restaurant after four years and I'm impressed each time I come in.Staffing is an issue (as is with most post covid restaurants) but the breakfast is excellent, the in-house pierogies are phenomenal and it makes for a great regular spot.

Exterior a little off putting but very pleased we went in as excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Best eggs we have had in Canada.
