It is already a challenge when you visit a place that was very enthusiastic in the past, after almost 5 years. On the outside and on the ambience has not changed much. In the evening the Calenberger Straße is not very busy, so you can sit at 25 30° under awnings wonderfully outside. The tables are beautifully covered and equipped with fabric napkins. The prices remain unchanged sister has cancelled the old bill : Nice for guests, but has something changed in quality? The same is the cook that took over the locals of the owners about 2 3 years ago. The service, the inside and outside with 2 nice girls was hard on Zack. The only manko was that they gave the wine Bianco de Custoza in 2013, of course we ordered the same wine as at the time not the usual probier swallow for testing, but they immediately invaded us in our glasses. The temperature was wonderful, only room warm water could not offer it. Too bad. But at the temperatures it warmed quickly. The wine remained fresh in the cooler. Because I have a good culinary memory, I still know what we had 5 years ago, because that really impressed me: large mixed antipasti plate with my 1. Panzanella 1⁄2 Risotto with shrimps and saffron 1⁄2 spaghetti Vongole per mei delicate calble beer with the best k’pü I have ever eaten delicious Dorade with herbs and vegetables Crème Brûlée Today I can not eat so much longer and initially confine myself to a slice of really delicious bread; that's still as good as it was. Simply served with oil, and c’est ca. I thought it was okay, I don't always need a greeting from the kitchen. We shared the great antipasti plate for 15,90 I had less in memory: Today the marinades of the domestic eggplant cubes, certified zucchini, mushroom strips, paprika and panzanella are flowing together. Moreover, the panzanella bark, which was on the edge of the plate, was quite dry, while the bread itself was in the middle of the other marinades and was in dissolution. No basil that actually belongs to a panzenella. Salami, ham and Mortadella were good to present without a highlight. For the main dish, my sister chose Piccata di Orecchietta oyster mushrooms in the egg shell, baked for 15.50 also from the standard card. That was really good, but I should avoid fried interiors, so no calf livers with K'pü, so I just tried one slice, but it was really great. Of course, they are not cramped because they do not use semmel balls. My choice fell on a table top: homemade ravioli with ricotta limonen filling, parmesan pears on tomato salad. The filling was on the point, and the noodles too, perfect tuning. That was my highlight of the evening, although I would rather have eaten fish. But I don't like the napkins. However, there were some spices on the tomato salad I didn't like: anise, fennel spice, tonka bean review of the chemist sister... I didn't ask. But it's my problem and not to blame the restaurant. My sister Crème brûlée was again sick of the same symptom as in many other restaurants. ‘Pudding’ will probably be placed briefly with sugar under the Salamander; the pudding is heated too much. It should be sprinkled directly from the cooling with a sugar layer and suspended briefly with the gas burner. This results in the exciting contrast between soft hard and cold heat. The toilets that came in the years are quite bad: a steep staircase down, a bit smelling; a women's cabin has a toilet flush with a rustic chain. The other one on a light shaft that also looks a little dubios. All in all, no good toilet appearance. Conclusion: Beautifully sitting outside, and there are always new discoveries on the map. Great for me: The 120 bus stops at the door. Service: 4 5 points Kitchen: 3 appetizer 4 points Main dish 4 points Toilets: 1 point I know if I had been in my Qype once in the toilet... I'm sorry, it's only three points in total. I usually don't like room for toilets, but in this case it must be sad. Better a few euros more for the dishes and retreat for a complete sanitary renovation.

We had a family event at Beckmanns and can highly recommend it!We were about 15 people with around 7 babies and kids and the restaurant was only opened for us on a Saturday afternoon.Our late lunch as four course menu was perfect. Antipasti selection, pasta and the saltimbocca were very well prepared and tasty. The desert even silenced the kids for a while :-)Due to the kids we took it quite slowly and everybody really enjoyed it.We felt very welcomed and the service never lost its genuine friendliness while kids were crawling around.

Dinner with clients in a not very touristy aérea. The place is not very pretentious, but the service and food impeccable. Very good wine list. I had grilled calamari and spaghetti vongole - simple, but brilliant.

Away from the bustle of the old town this quaint spot offers excellent service and a sophisticated selection of Italian dishes. highly recommend the fish saltimbocca
