I visited this restaurant with a small group of friends on a Wednesday. It wasn't very busy, and the service was friendly and prompt. The food is typical of a pub chain, decent and fairly priced. I particularly appreciate that they can cook scallops properly without making them tough. I ordered my steak medium rare, but it came closer to medium or even well done. The rest of the meal was enjoyable, and the highlight was a wonderful Black Forest sundae to finish off. You definitely get what you pay for at this type of restaurant, and overall, it's good value. As for the food itself, the full English breakfast was satisfying—it included two sausages, two slices of bacon, two eggs, two hash browns, black pudding, a grilling tomato, and a large button mushroom, all cooked to perfection. The coffee was freshly brewed from beans and was absolutely delicious. Overall, I found it to be a great value for the money. I would definitely return if I'm ever in Newark again, even though I wish I could live a bit closer!

We live locally but haven't visited the restaurant in years. We only took a chance today as couldn't get in our favourite pubs due to it being mother's Day, but what a pleasant surprise. Food was excellent and the service even better. Love the spacious areas too, don't feel crammed in especially with COVID prevalent. We will be back

If you're looking to enjoy a hotel breakfast without booking a room, this is the place for you. It's quite reasonably priced—not exceptional, but definitely not bad either. this was the first time that I had been curling downs since covid. the service was excellent. eating is good value for money. I had a steak and sampi, the chips were very nice £10.65 steak was average but passable. for the price it cannot fail.

We visit the Roman Way often and have been impressed every time. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the meals are consistently good.
