The food was excellent as was the service. Comprehensive menu ranging from snacks to main meals. It was a very busy Saturday lunchtime, we were pleased we’d booked. There’s a good variety of Northumberland ales to choose from as well as the usual drinks. The one my husband chose was, according to him, very good. The food wasn’t served fast but we didn’t mind waiting at all. There were plenty of serving staff who were friendly and helpful There’s a large car park, the building is wheelchair accessible as are the women’s and men’s toilets. Despite living 2 minutes away from this well publicised venue we haven’t been very often. Had my sister across from San Fran and decided it would be good to try for an evening meal. Party of 8 accommodated quite easily, good menu with some good home cooking dishes. Quality was roundly praised by all even though service was slightly slow. Need to note though the Beehive is always popular therefore busy and the serving staff have a lot to contend with. Great experience but sensible to reserve a table. Sunday lunch bookings are out a few weeks but mid week ain’t so bad.
A group of friends and I decided to visit The Beehive for Sunday lunch or drinks. We were lucky to snag the last available table and were promptly given menus. I chose the Beef Sunday Roast and was impressed by the generous portion of beef, potatoes, and Yorkshire Pudding on my plate. The vegetables and gravy were brought out separately and there was plenty to go around. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for the quality and portion sizes. I have been to The Beehive before and will definitely be returning. I highly recommend it!
Booked an early table and was glad we had, sun was out and very busy. Waited about 45 minutes for food but when it came it was delicious. I had home made Steak Pie, hubby had Steak, and daughter had Thai Beef. Cheese board and 2 Sticky Toffee puddings for desserts. Drinks quite expensive especially the soft drinks. Lovely meal out for a treat with our visiting daughter. We booked a table in the Wwodshed.

We are local to The Beehive, so we have been there many times. I can confidently say that we have never had a bad meal or poor service. The Sunday lunch is the best in the area, and the steak and ale pie is delicious. As a family, we have tried many dishes on the menu, and everything is top-notch pub food. Don't hesitate to visit - you will receive a warm welcome and will definitely be back for more!
Enjoyed our trip here and will be back. Service was very good and the food enjoyable. Lovely place and long may they continue to do well from it. A great amenity . There is lots of outdoor space too. Small cjhoice of real ale but good quality.
Popped in for lunch whilst staying over at caravan site behind st Mary’s lighthouse. Quality is exceptional. Lovely spot which came highly recommended. Homemade steak pie divine husbands burger ‘the best he’s had’ High acclaim indeed.
We went out for a birthday meal and they were able to accommodate us even though we hadn't made a reservation. The flavors were lovely and there was plenty of food for a satisfying meal.

First time visit for Sunday lunch. It was delicious and plentiful. Starter and desserts are also lovely. Last but not least service was out of this world. Thank you Beehive!
