Didn't Think I would be But i was impressed.. My wife and I just had dinner at Behle Street by Sheli. (Years ago,...I used to go to the original restaurant in the same , very compact room in Crescent Springs). Back then it was a great place to have lunch in the summer but we didn't eat there in the winter as it was too small and looked like it would be too cold inside.. When we walked In, I noticed seating for no more than 30 people, and even though the floors and walls give the place a warm look, It was cold outside and I figured we would freeze every time someone would open the door. not worth a visit. only one server (bad cache) so the service was slowly unattended. waited for 40 minutes on fish sandwich, no lemon or wetar sauce plus soggy roggenbrot. fish was soggy battery was under seasoned really cut. husbands pasta (autumn) was a haufen pasta with no more, it lacked deep of taste. with a coffee (not offered a refill) coke(s) bill was $32. had to collect in the old on cc, owner (I think) went from asked whether ok but not wait for answer or offer to take the payment, at the end I went to pay. if I had $35, I would have done it with him, even though I felt a little sorry for the server. this place is...read more
my man and I were there yesterday, we have dined in there since the outside was packed! we have eaten here several times and I always order the same product: salmon with coho sauce, served with limed Zilantro rice and embroidered with pineapple cahutney. it's fantastic! I highly recommend it. my man ordered the cajun bayou fattyuccine, which he found spicy and plentiful, to take a lot home. the waiting staff was fast and attentive. our waitress was over the menu and very pleasant! I would give him 5 stars, except the necessity of sound buffering inside. Luckily the outdoor dining was the main attraction and the interior were few.
one and done for me. service was terrible! we went to lunch at 12:30. at the time there were two more tables. they had already eaten. we needed 1/2 hour to get our food. the waitress never came back to ask if we needed what we needed? or needed something else. she pretended we were harassing her when we asked for a box. there was a manager who stood at the counter and was on the phone all the time, but never seemed to do something. it is a very small place. not being deceived by the pictures on this site. most of them are from behle street in covington. eating is very good, but the room needs some sound buffering. when we were there, there was a group of four who spoke very loud and we couldn't hear each other or anyone. but eating is very good. we had the veggie quesadillas, the cappellini blt and the speck, spinat and tomatensandwich. all were excellent.
had carry out 1-21-22, first time in a few weeks, Sheli herself was bringing the curbside pick up...hands on owner, and it shows!!! the parmesan crusted grouper was crispy on the outside, mouthwatering, generous portion, and the capellini meatloaf is comfort food for sure, and, oh, desserts too...will be back sooner than later, for sure
