Last night four friends went to Bekya for dinner. It is so wonderful to see on a mid week night so many restaurants full which is a tribute to the Tramshed. Bekya was no exception and it was also running a cooking school within the Tramshed; Brilliant! This explains possibly why our evening was not the experience hoped for. Ordered with consultation from the waiter a range of dishes to share including the signature dish Koshari, the quinoa tabbouli, the grazing plate, a serving of rosemary chips and the Bekya plate. We visited Bekya for a Sunday lunch and opted for the $48 set menu for the 4 of us. You can also get this for 2 people. It had a great selection of dishes and I would highly recommend this option over picking dishes yourself unless you knew exactly what you wanted. There was plenty of food to feel satisfied but if you are a big eater there is also a more comprehensive menu with more dishes for a little more. Service staff were very attentive and speed of the food coming out was perfect. Definitely worth a try.
Service was good.However, food wasn’t.Kafta, chicken and meat tasted processed and lacked flavour and freshness.Dips were okay nothing special or standout.Tabouli was awful; might as well eat a bowl of quinoa.For the Lack of variety on the menu, each dish should’ve been perfected and unfortunately it wasn’t.
Quality of food was great and portions were surprisingly decent. Service was also attentive and quick to bring out food. Wife and I particularly enjoyed the warm, made to order flat bread that comes with the mixed plate (or can be ordered separately). Perfect dipping vessel for the dips we ordered!

I had the Fattoush salad, lemon garlic chicken and an Arabic coffee with cardamom. All were amazing with perfect balance of flavours. Service was quick and friendly. Would go here again!
Food was covered in sauce and wasn’t worth the price the food was below average and the waiter didn’t know any English and was in a hurry to take our plates back then letting us finish
Good service, large portions and friendly staff. Drinks were also very nice. We enjoyed the quality of the food and the freshness of the salad
It's a little bit of bread or pale, but it's good to see it in the middle of the middle. Chicken and sauce were delicious

Friendly staff. Great environment. Good covidsafe practices. Great venue for events.e.g. wreath making class.
Fabulous food and excellent service. I will return!!
