For the first time my wife and I experienced the Italian ristorante Bella Roma, this last Valentine?s Day. We had searched hard for a place to go for a great steak, and the local steakhouses didn?t have great reviews, so we opted for Bella Roma, and chose the 4 course meal for two! It was in the building of a hotel, which was a little weird for such a fancy place, but I guess that doesn?t matter. We dined at BR last night, with a reservation for 6:30. We ordered a nice wine that they unfortunately didn't have, but their alternative was quite good. Each of the four of us chose an appetizer to share, along with a salad and duck as our main course. The dishes were all quite understated. Our server was delightful but continually apologized for the slow service with our wine and food courses. The appetizers were really tasty, and the salads were decent, but we found the duck disappointing. The pasta was mushy, and the duck was either over-seasoned or dry, although the flavor was passable. In my opinion, this is easily the best restaurant in Helena, with only Maison coming close. We have tried about 90% of the menu items and have been consistently impressed, with several standouts—like the filet with peppercorn, which was a perfect 10/10. The prices are reasonable given the quality of the ingredients and the innovative approach to the menu. Definitely go for the four-course meal! I started with a caprese salad, and the balsamic vinegar and oil were absolutely delicious, especially paired with the focaccia. For my main course, I chose the Ravioli Al Tartufo, which had a lovely truffle flavor in the creamy white sauce. The ravioli were filled with a delightful five-cheese blend and generously topped with Parmigiano Reggiano. To cap off my meal, I ordered tiramisu, which tasted just like my parents' version, along with a caffè lungo. Everything was impeccable!

It's my first time here and I'm impressed! It's like being in Rome, with its ambience. Our server was awesome ! I wished I remember his name...he was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable with food served. The seafood ravioli was exceptionally awesome and delicious. Kudos to our Chef and all the Staff. Great place to eat in Helena! Had the 4 course dinner which was well worth it! Everything was amazing. My boyfriend and mom had the rib eye which they both loved. The filet mignon had a lot of pepper that I had to scrape off because it was difficult to eat. The desserts were great and so was the service.

We had a wonderful experience! My husband and I visited this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, and it exceeded our expectations. The food was exceptional, and the service was excellent! We wholeheartedly recommend this place for a fine dining experience.

Honestly, some of the best dishes and wines I've ever tasted. Our server Lucas was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely recommend again and very much.
