We came for lunch at Ben and Florentine and I must say that I was very surprised by their service, but the commercial practice of the place left me perplexed. I walked in and sat down but the waitress at the front told me to go to a separate seat at the back of the restaurant. Strange, but considering I'm ugly, I can understand. They made me do several tests like distance tests and reading lines of letters, but no menus. I was then recommended to wear glasses and when I told them I didn't have any, they sold me a pair.It turns out that I was at the optometrist next door. A pleasant atmosphere where it is good to have lunch whether with family or friends!From one time to another the service is always of high quality and the staff is smiling which is all the more pleasant.The queue can sometimes seem long, but the experience is worth the ten to fifteen minute wait during the busiest hours.The menu offers a wide choice, each as good as the other. Having tried several dishes, I have never been disappointed. Besides, the portions are quite generous which is not at all negative.
The food at this restaurant was delicious, but the service was terrible. The waiter never came to check on us and we weren't offered any coffee refills. He left our table so quickly that we didn't even have a chance to ask him for anything.
Very good, I would have had a slightly larger portion (Ben&Florentine breakfast poutine) OR do like the other breakfasts and include the toast. Otherwise, nothing to complain about, very busy, but the wait was not long (group of 6).

Sincerely, very disappointed with my visit to Ben and Florentine in Trois-Rivières. The kitchen was playing music very loudly while there was already background music. Very stressful place.
