Awful meal and even worse service. A place where the customer is always wrong! Cold food, undercooked naan breads (which were not eaten), tomato sauce rather than Indian curry with no spice or tasty, and a shortage of meat for a dish being charged at £14-16 per curry (without any extras). When this was brought to the attention of the lady front of house, she wanted to argue that the food wasn’t cold and the two naan bread were cooked. We have used this restaurant takeaway consistently for the last 15 years (before lockdown) but tonight...the absolute worst meal we have ever had in Asian cuisine. This place used to be the best curry house by far! Tonight we thought we would try again, after not going for a year or so, due to the quality last time. The Tarka Dhal was basically water and onions, I couldn 't even find a lentil! The portion didn 't even come half way up the foil dish. The naans were thick, doughy and undercooked inside. This was always my go to for Indian cuisine, been coming here for years. Shocked at how appalling my takeaway was this weekend! Ordered a mixed kebab starter, asked them to make sure it had fried onions with it, exactly the same as you would get if you were eating in, sad to say when I opened the tray it consisted of small pieces of dried up meat, not an onion in sight!. Have eaten here many times before but tonight’s experience was awful. Ordered a dish I’ve had many times before and it was dreadful. Inedible lamb and the sauce bore absolutely no resemble to what I’ve had the dozen times before. Left the entire dish minus the one mouthful I’d tried. I explained that it was the same as usual and it wasn’t nice and the lady owner charged us for it an when I queried it she just said…it’s not y fault you didn’t like it in the rudest manner possible. Really disappointed with the portion size. At most it was 8 small pieces of lamb, which was commented on when they dropped it on the table but no comment. The meat was fatty, I accept lamb can be fatty but this wasn’t nice to eat. Part of the food that arrived was like warm. This was commented on to the staff halfway through the meal after we struggled to get their attention. We complained before we paid the bill and were told there was nothing they’d do. Their attitude about it all was really not acceptable and totally didn’t expect this from somewhere I’ve been to, on a number of occasions. But won’t be going back.

Staff where friendly and welcoming, but the food was truly awful. Onion bhajis so well done you could chip your teeth on them, and best of all, all the main courses tasted the same! Chicken jalfrezi, chicken korma, butter chicken and lamb korma all tasted overpoweringly sweet. Even the Peshwari naan bread was sickly sweet. In total, 12 family members joined us for my wife's birthday and every one of us left disappointed with the overpoweringly sweet tasting food and left most of it uneaten. My wife and I last visited Bengal Spice in 2014 and it was superb, yet tonight we've left so disappointed and won't be back.

Read reviews and wasn’t sure BUT was happily surprised we were a group of 7 so had lots of different dishes. Popadams and pickle tray, mixed starter were excellent, various different dishes, lamb, chicken, prawn and tandoori mixed grill, rices and naan.. all beautiful and hot. We had leftovers which were boxed up to take away The only negative thing was the service staff were excellent but the service was incredibly slow considering we ate early and it wasn’t that busy.. we arrived at 7.30 and didn’t get main course until 9...

We were very disappointed with our tasteless, extremely watery, over cooked chicken takeaway. We ordered two different mains, and both looked exactly the same and were bland. To add insult to injury, it was the most expensive Indian takeaway we have ever had. If you are a lover of amazing Indian cuisine, avoid this place!! Reserva una mesa ahora

The best indian resturant i have eaten in. The food was brilliant . Portions were very generous . front of house was excellent. The resurant is small .compact and cozy .service was very good . Overall super place to go to

Great food fast service. Plenty of prawns in our prawn dishes. Its our regular now. Sides are always wondeful tasting. Nan bread always hot as are our meals. Nothing to complain about Thanks
