I give a rating of 2 as my overall rating. However, that score needs to broken down as some things a good and some very poor. Arrival poor. 1 star. I was running 5 mins late. I tried to call the telephone number on the website however the recorded message said that the phone line was unmanned and that there was no way to contact the restaurant. We were in Sydney for the Kings(! Birthday long weekend and had booked Bennelong for the Sunday Jazz and lunch. Having read over some of the recent reviews I was thinking I should have booked elsewhere (there were tables at Sixpenny and Tetsuya's available over the weekend which we've been to before and loved . This is my second time going to bennelong and my partner first time trying out fine dining took him out for his bday for dinner. Food was amazing, staff was friendly - always checking if our food was ok and if we needed anything, sourdough bread with butter is free complimentary before ordering. We had $130/person a la carte menu which served us one of each entree, main and dessert and all comes with sides and drinks were separate as well.
I had a fun dining at bennelong, we paid $300, definitely coming back again for birthday and anniversary dates!!! ????????????

Exquisite food served with impeccable service ... every time. The delectable 3 course menu served at Bennelong is just one of the reasons why this restaurant is so busy and booking are absolutely essential. Make sure to listen carefully to the additional courses as offered by your table server, because my experience is that these top off a great meal. Expect reasonable portions and almost certainly you will walk away with a pleasantly satisfied stomach.
If you're really fortunate you might even end up at the window side with a front row seat to the world's most beautiful sunset as it drops right behind the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge.

I love Sydney ???? and the food here matches the incomparable setting. Definitely one of the best places to eat in the world.
Another memorable meal. The service is friendly and efficient, the sommelier gave excellent advice and the food was divine.
We chose the three course a la cart menu.
I started with the spanner crab then the wild barramundi then we spilt the cheese board and the Mille feuille vs creme caramel both were a perfect finish to a perfectly executed meal.
There are thoughtful and unusual tastes and textures which work so well. I felt challenged in a very good way. This was definitely a night I will truely remember.
First of all for the price that i paid, I deserve something's great which is everyone know Bennelong is the top 3 fine dining in Sydney. But all of my expectation is totally ruined with this "unFriendly" waiter and at the end of the service this guy who went crazy on us after I tipped base on his service and there's no smile was given, and after that he just threw the receipt unpolitely to the table instead of giving it back politely to us and plus the food was "okay"
Quick advice to Bennelong
Quality It is much better that quantity a.k.a there is no point of having tons of staff but there's no great service being delivered.
I absolutely loved dining here! The food was impeccable and I loved the staff especially, they were so attentive and made our experience so much better. Bennelong exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend it!

Ridiculous prices! Minuscule serves of bland food. This places is living on it’s location an undeserved reputation. Go for the view, but don’t go in!
