Bennigans On Merle Hay

We visited on Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was bustling with customers. We were warmly welcomed and seated immediately. Since it was our first time back since the remodel, it was great to see some familiar faces. Our server, Chad, was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We started with potato skins and cheese sticks, both of which were delicious, though I particularly loved the potato skins! For our main course, we ordered the crispy chicken wrap and chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were fantastic, especially paired with their honey mustard. I highly recommend giving this place a try for its excellent food and service. I would rate it a perfect 10/10!

I decided to try this Irish restaurant because it was conveniently located next to my hotel, and I'm so glad I did. The food was incredible, and the service was outstanding. I ended up dining there twice—once for lunch and once for dinner. Each time, we were looked after by fantastic servers. The burger was probably one of the best I've had in a long time. I will definitely return to this restaurant the next time I'm in Des Moines!

I always enjoyed the food at Bennigan's, but I hadn't been here in many years. When I returned a few weeks ago, the food was at least as good as I remember, maybe better. But the remodeling they've done Wow! Very nice! The location obviously is what it is, but inside? It used to be kind of dark, very much an American chain Irish pub feel. Now it's a light, bright, open, fresh vibe. I'll be back!

The restaurant was very busy and seemed to be understaffed. Our server appeared to be managing all the tables by herself, yet she did an outstanding job. She consistently kept our drinks filled and checked in on our group of seven multiple times. Reserva una mesa ahora

Need to avoid when classic cars take over the parking lot. Had one drink and appetizer. Had to put ice in my tap beer. The sliders were alright but the onion strings were pulverized and not seasoned. Not sure we will be back anytime soon

Food was mediocre at best. Our waitress was afraid to come near us or check up on us after delivering our food. It's just a very stale atmosphere.

Absolutely on point service and a perfectly made Monte Christo. We were sharing and they split the food onto 2 plates for ease.
