We went to Taunus some time ago and found the hotel restaurant. Since the exterior view of the building flatters the eyes, this should be repeated inside the guest rooms. The staff and the boss are very friendly and no desire remains unfulfilled. We were two and also in larger groups like birthday or Easter and we were always served with very good food. The children are also treated politely. Now we are very happy that we do not have to miss our meal from the mountain farm at Easter, because the pick-up service works well. The menu on the homepage is very promising. Unfortunately there is only a very thin edition of it on site. With larger groups (7 people), the common food becomes problematic. With us the first person had your food already 10 minutes before the other dishes. The last dish was served when everyone else was ready. It was a steak that was supposed to be taken wrong. When it was corrected, it took another 20 30 minutes until it was served. The service prefers to serve the chat at the checkout instead of the guests. Accepted drinks are forgotten.The ambience corresponds to a better pub and is rather cold. Unfortunately, the modernization has forgotten the cosiness.
My husband and I like to go to dinner. This is how we know many locals throughout Germany. The Berghof is one of the best places we know for us. Just last Sunday. Starter Markkl. -Soup with noodle inlay, meiun man had turtles, I pork lards with a divine sauce and vieolen fresh mushrooms. Meat breaks on the tongue, the sauces are excellent. It's a pleasure again. We wanted to go back last Sunday, unfortunately everything was occupied. People here know about the good kitchen. And costly, not overpriced. Whoever hits here is not to help. WIr likes to forgive 5 stars.
