Berkley's on Ann - Reservar una mesa

My girlfriend and I went here for dinner on a Friday night. Upon first inspection we didn't quite expect it would be a pub' type atmosphere and almost went elsewhere. The separate formal dining area is nice but you can hear the live music and despite the white table cloths, left a casual vibe. There was one waitress who was pleasant. Service was a touch slow for a restaurant that had maybe two to three other dining tables but I suppose when you only have one waitress on, it'd be hard for them to be attentive. My companion and I enjoyed steaks which were cooked to our liking, the spinach that came with it was bordering on the too salty' and the sweet potato mash tasted like tandoori....read m...

melbourne cupne day 2014. also we visited the melbourne cup at berkley’s and had the best day! my partner enjoyed the filet mignon that was cooked to a perfect med rare as it should be while I enjoyed my preorganized vegetarian option. gary was a joy to work on it and nothing was too difficult until the day. Not sure why it was disappointing for the last review, but I had a layer of vegetables / potato stack with the yummiest sauce for my pornstars and like all the tables around me, was given with a dessert plate as the advertising material. y u m. the day was super fun, though there were some tables that spoke through the mc that made it hard to hear but...read more

Average dining experience.. I went there on a Saturday night, with a party of 5. The restaurant was about a quarter full and the service was very good. Our waitress was in fact charming. Unfortunately I could not say that about my meal, which was very disappointing. My chicken breast was dry and flavourless.The lamb dish also did not present well and was proportionally small. The steaks however were excellent. As this restaurant is part of the splendid Rendezvous Hotel, there is definite scope for improvement.

best staff in the city. I came a few nights ago after berkleys when my working friend had told me how good it was and I was not let off, I was served by 3 young ladies bretagne, zoe and ele and they were absolutely charming. Eating was simply amazing, possibly the best I ever had eaten. defiantly will come back.

I was staying at the Adina and the Berkley is on the first floor of the hotel. Not only was it a very convenient option, it also provided a delicious dinner in a very enjoyable setting.
