We stopped by for breakfast and we were greeted with amazing service from the servers as well as the owner. He greeted us and asked how the food was, he was not hesitant to jump in and help out the servers. Even at the busiest time, everyone was speedy but the quality was 100%. The food without a doubt was amazing it was all hot and fresh, flavor 100%. I can’t say enough great things about this mom and pop restaurant but we will be returning and it’s definitely worth trying out.
If you find yourself in Lake Tahoe, Bert’s Cafe is a must-visit! The portions here are impressively generous—just watching dishes being served will make you feel full. Despite being in a tourist hotspot, the prices are refreshingly reasonable. The cafe serves handmade ranch, freshly squeezed orange juice, and exceptional, speedy service
Stopped by here for the first time with my family on our way through South Tahoe and was really glad we did. About a 20 minute wait around noon on a Monday, but well worth the wait. Food was GREAT and service was good too. Our kids tend to be very picky eaters, but they both cleaned their plates. Will definitely be going back.
We had just come into town and were hungry! Bert’s had a menu that filled our needs. I had huevos rancheros, my husband had the Benedict. Service was friendly, coffee cups always filled, food was great, and we left full and happy Reserva una mesa ahora
Some of the things we ordered were good maybe even great but some were just average. I'm sure if you knew what you wanted here this could be a great place to go but if you're just stopping by you're better off somewhere else.
The last time we ate here was over 4 years ago but we still talk about coming back here whenever we visit Tahoe again. We also recommend it to any friends who are planning a trip there!
GREAT hometown breakfast/ lunch cafe! The people who work there are super nice. It's a vintage mom pop shop with a really cool vibe.

Love coming here when visiting Tahoe. Highly recommend the hot chocolate, be sure to take home a Bert's mug. Food is delicious.
