Lunched at Besk with family. It is very easy to get to by car or train. The decor is simple, with a variety of seating and tables and is clean and well presented. The bar is central creating a U shaped eating and drinking area around it and the open kitchen is tucked in behind the bar area. The menu is not overcrowded and lends itself to share plates or individual dishes. We ordered a variety including gnocchi, potato croquettes, bang bang chicken, beef Tartare, chips and broccoli. We had a work lunch for Christmas, and it was perfect for a relaxed gathering. The inclusion of a bottle shop made it convenient for those wanting to enjoy a drink. The tapas-style dishes we ordered arrived quickly, were delicious, beautifully presented, and the service was attentive yet unobtrusive. We dined on a Saturday from 1 to 3 PM. The restrooms were clean, and the interior featured charming aged decor and exposed brickwork, adding to the overall ambiance.

Absolutely lovely venue, downstairs seating for a more private intimate meal, upstairs is more lively but great atmosphere. Menu was divine with most dishes being larger than expected (especially compared to some other tapas and or share style places in Leederville) Front courtyard is nice in the sun and with a good breeze, several sizes of tables to choose from Wine list was good and with the bar attached, you can order a special bottle for $15 corkage.

A couple of shop fronts along Railway Parade, opposite West Leederville station, have been gutted and re-jigged to form an impressive and inviting space – bottle shop, bar, restaurant – polished concrete, exposed bricks, soaring metal ceilings and glass, all combining to make for what should be a destination dining and drinking spot in what is fast becoming a foodie and wine and beer lover’s haven – West Leederville. If nothing tickles your fancy on the screens, chat to the knowledgeable and enthusiastic bar staff or browse the shelves in the adjoining bottle shop. Think of this as an extension of the wine and beer list. Here you can essentially buy a bottle and BYO. There’s a lot of choice, with WA essentials, boutique offerings (like Pinot from the Grampians), and drops especially made for Besk.

Amazing steak tartare, wagyu cheeseburger, gnocchi and bone marrow, with a decent selection of tap beers and just about every craft beer imaginable in the bottleshop area, with a range of zero-alcohol choices too. Great lunch.
