I discovered that this restaurant was one of the top Ethiopian restaurants in the DC area, and it definitely lived up to its reputation. The food was exceptionally fresh and delicious. I have tried Ethiopian food at other restaurants before, but Beteseb impressed me the most, and I am eagerly looking forward to returning. We ordered the meat/vegetable combination platter, and every dish was incredibly flavorful. As someone who is conscious of cleanliness, I was pleased to see how spotless and well-maintained the restaurant was. The fact that it was packed with customers is a clear indication of the high quality of the food.

This was my go-to place for Ethiopian food when I lived in MD. For first-timers, you can never go wrong with the crispy beef. If you feeling adventurous, I strongly recommend the Kitfo (Ethiopian beef tartar). Always ask for Tej (Ethiopian honey wine), it goes great with the meal. The staffs at the restaurant is always very friendly. The only downside, is that we always have to wait a long time for the food. But, if you have the time, the food is definitely worth the wait.

The best food with the best friendly and professional staff, the restaurant is located conveniently in downtown silver spring and a few blocks from DC line. Easy to find street parking make sure you feed the meter) The waitress was on point, helpful. Owner or manager was at the spot and making sure everything was okay. I like that) The food was great, fresh and tasty exactly what we ordered and wanted. I highly recommended Beteseb Restaurant.

What an amazing place for Ethiopian cuisine! WARNING, portion sizes are LARGE and filling. We had the kitfo (raw beef), veggie combo, and crispy beef tibs. The kitfo doesn't taste like raw meat at all, more like a red soft wheat item like dense pancakes. The veggie combo is pretty standard. By far the best Ethiopian food I have had. The vegetarian options are , the chickpeas, the fule- think Arab ful, and the anjira (sour dough bread) is excellent. Great food! I had never had Ethiopian food before stopping in here. The server helped us pick a couple of dishes that we shared. A mixture of vegetarian and meat options. I was a bit hesitant about eating with my hands with the Injera bread, but it was great. Highly recommended.

Loved this place!!! Tasty vegetable options, and tender, well-seasoned tibs, both spicy and regular. Friendly wait staff, clean restaurant. Will definitely come again!!!
