We had excellent meals both nights we ate here. The first night, I had baeckeoffe (meat stew with vegetables) and it was very good and hot! My husband had the cutlet with cheese sauce and French fries and he raved about it! His fries were the best I have ever had - fluffy! We ate here the next night after an awful experience trying to eat up the street and again, everything was great. Served quickly and cheerfully by a staff person who put up with my poor French, I had a salad and hot bread and my husband again had the cutlet but this time breaded. He cleaned the plate. Prices are very reasonable and with 2 entrees, wine and water, the bill was less than 40€.
We ended up spending a couple of evenings here and also visited during the afternoons for a sit down and a cold beer. The staff were so lovely despite our poor French. Their chips are amazing and the local stew is outstanding. I wish I'd known enough French to ask for the recipe. Prices were very reasonable, the menu is based on local, homecooked dishes, the wine was outstanding and the service was always with a friendly smile.Look out for the daily visit of the local stork who swoops down and stands outside the kitchen door waiting for a few scraps. It's an amazing sight at an amazingly homely little restaurant.
We had a lunch there and everything was great. The place is small and with really friendly people. We had some tarte flambee, (what else, right?), and the traditional one is the best one, the rest of them is not that special as it looks like. The prices are very nice and it's just a nice small friendly place.
We had dinner here during our trip to Ribeauvillé. We weren't impressed at all. There are much better places to find in this small town (as we found out during our weekend). They are on the south side of the old town, which may be convenient asit is close to a parking place. Our advice, skip this one.

We had lunch here twice during our stay and enjoyed it both times. The owner is very friendly. We had tarte flambee which was delicious, you have to try it. We also had the choucroute dish which is all pork, sausage and saurkraut and very good. Good beer and wine by the pichet.
Lots of Charcuteries to choose from. Beers from Nancy. Outdoor seating to allow you to watch all the other tourists strolling up Main Street. Fills up quickly in nice weather so come early or later. Inside is nice as well. Enjoy
I just returned to what was an old favourite. The previous owners have obviously moved on. We had a perfectly pleasant, if unadventurous, meal but it is a long way from the 5 stars I previously gave.
If you are looking for a simple, authentic place - if you want meet some forthcoming people - this is a very good place to go to - not too touristic...

very good restaurant at the beginning street of center ribeauville i had a lunch with my wife 2 types of tarte flambe,it was very good.
It was so tasty I thought they used Maggi seasoning. A must try. The service is friendly! Very friendly by French standards.
