Bens is a great spot to hang out, with a lively atmosphere and friendly crowd. Avoid Thursday nights if you prefer a quieter experience, as it gets pretty crowded and loud with karaoke. The beer is ice cold, the bartenders are welcoming, and the regulars are always up for a chat. The only thing missing is some hearty pub grub. The beer selection is impressive, but don't expect fancy cocktails or high-end wines. The cozy space is just the right size. Overall, one of my favorite spots. Bonus: they have treats for your dog!
We really wanted to like this pub. Tried it twice times. First time there was an aggressive barking dog that wasn't silenced; didn't know it was a dog-friendly space. The second time there was a fussy baby at the bar; again, just an odd situation for a pub that other reviewers say has a cozy atmosphere. The draft prices are super high (and the glasses seem small), the music is too low so any conversation at the bar is heard in the whole space. Nothing engaging, nothing to draw anyone back.
I was torn when I sat down to write this review for Ben's. While there isn't necessarily anything bad about the place, there also isn't anything exceptional either. It's just your average, slightly outdated local pub. It's a decent option if you happen to be in the area and looking for a beer.
My wife was shopping in the area so I popped in for a beer to bide the time. First cam here 40 years ago and occasionally pop I when in town to see the place. No a lot of big changes to the decor but not run down either. Service and staff as well as the patrons are top notch.

Haven't been there since mid 90's but we always had a blast on Thursday nights coming over from Coghlan for Kareoki!
Quiet spot, good beer, a few people on the VLTs and a few TVs on with baseball and hockey games
Nice and friendly environment where I could just enjoy a few drinks and take it easy.
