I have dined at this restaurant before and the experience was satisfactory. However, on this particular occasion, I was left waiting for thirty minutes. When we got home, I discovered that the food was cold and the portion sizes were not what we ordered. We had ordered a large cod and chips, but received a portion that resembled a regular size. Similarly, the sausage and chips looked more like a kids' meal. The gravy I ordered appeared to be dirty dish water. I am disappointed with this experience and have decided not to return to this restaurant. They have lost our business.
I was disappointed with the small portions at this restaurant. I ordered 2 large cod and 2 portions of chips, but ended up receiving 1 large cod and 1 small cod with very few chips. The quality was good, but the small portions were not worth the price of £23+. I have been visiting this restaurant on and off for years, but it seems like the value is slowly decreasing. I understand the pressures of inflation, but serving small portions and charging for larger ones is not acceptable. I will not be returning.
My group has ordered fish and chips from this restaurant multiple times, but we have found the fish to be decent while the chips are lacking. We assumed it was due to the large orders, but after ordering only 3 portions the other day, we were disappointed to find that the chips were still terrible. They were cold, limp, and mostly just thin strips of crusty fat. I only managed to eat about four chips. It was a disappointing experience.
I purchased £45 worth of fish and chips for the family and it was terrible. No one could eat it. It was so greasy. The batter on the cod was so thick and very greasy it was un edible. The curry sauce was disgusting and no one could eat it. We have all ended up with bad stomachs and will never go there again.
