Big Island Burritos

I've been going to Big Island since I moved to the beach 12 years ago. I live 20 miles away and we still make a trip at least every week. The servers are friendly, food is super fast, and I can have a family of 4 for $20! My children, no-frills kind of girls, get a black and white no cheese (which comes in 3 sizes) and a side of chips with enchilada sauce to dip. My husband and I will either share a nachos (which can fill both of us who like to eat) or everyone gets a huge burrito (the Veg. Cabo, of course) with rice (our choice yellow or white), beans (black or pinto), salad, tomatoes, guacamole and we add Mango Salsa, that is Yam! Big Island burrito is best on average... nothing special. But it wasn't terrible. I would never go back just because there are two AMAZING Burrito places in the area we love. If you are looking for a REALLY fresh, fantastic Burrito, I recommend Roburritos, which is a few miles south in Melbourne Beach. The bad thing is that it is only opened like 4-5 days a week and closes when they call like that first and make sure they are open. There is also a great place called Da Kine Diegos upstairs in Satellite Beach that has HUGE veggie burritos.

The restaurant has changed from its original charm. The prices have increased and the menu now has a more modern feel. While it appears to be very popular now, it no longer appeals to me. It is disappointing to see the decline. I have been a loyal customer since its opening 17 years ago. The food and atmosphere with its casual beach vibe used to be unmatched. The staff was incredibly friendly, service was fast, and the prices were unbeatably low.

The burritos are tasty, but what I really enjoy are their hot sauce caddies.
