I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant, and it will definitely be my first and last visit. After placing my order, the person at the counter asked me in a very rude manner if I spoke Spanish. When I didn't respond right away, he yelled my name out loud, assuming that just because I have a Hispanic name, I should speak Spanish. I had the 2 hot dog special. The dogs were thinner than my pinky. No poppy seeds on the bun. I think I could see through the pickle it was so thin. The frys were par cooked and refried when I placed my order. It included a small drink all for $14. I wouldn't recommend this place.
It’s gone up in price and also the hot dogs were not good. The other location in Elk Grove Village closed and expect this one to close as well soon. Downhill from where it was. Sad because used to be a good place to get food.
I bought the gyros.... That was $10 and I'll tell you something for that price I had hardly any meat like I used to here at one time. You raise the price and put less meat I won't be here anymore

As a former customer of Sammy's I just need to say that I enjoyed everything about eating here but the last time I went I noticed a dramatic price increase beyond inflation. Good Bye.
I hope they stay around! I was sad to hear that the downtown Elk Grove location closed down. I've been going there since we moved. Best of luck to them!
This is a great spot for takeout sandwiches. They serve fantastic Chicago dogs and Italian beef sandwiches. Everything is quick and made to perfection.
We were in town for the weekend and we stopped by twice! We just stopped in for the pizza puff! The pizza puff is so good!! 10/10 recommend!

The food was excellent! The portion sizes were generous, and the service was friendly. The overall atmosphere was quite relaxed.
Love, love, love the cheese logs!!! The gyro's are awesome and everything is made to order.
