Finally we got to try this place! The small restaurant reminded me of the ones we went to in Osaka. Small, intimate, not pretentious, all about the food and great service. We came here for my birthday and I wanted to sit by the bar and watch the action in the kitchen. We both had sake and it was a good selection to compliment the small dishes that came out as and when ready. Aubergine miso just melted in your mouth chicken spring onion, chicken thigh, chicken skins, pork belly all were cooked to perfection and the crispy chicken skins were so moreish. specials were king prawns and they were big and tasty. cauliflower punchy and delicious tofu teriyaki crispy and chunky and great flavour kimc...
The food here is unbelievable. Pork belly, Cauliflower, Chicken Kara age, Korean Chicken wings, Lamb chops, Aubergine and Miso everything tastes amazing, it's hard to pick a favourite dish. It is a small restaurant but has a nice atmosphere and the staff are always so friendly and explain the menu. The value for money is incredible, you can't believe the price when the bill comes for the quality and amount of food you get.
Quite simply one of the best eating experiences I have had...a really bladerunner sort of vibe, which I loved. The staff were brilliant and helpful. The food was fantastic, think Japanese tapas the only way I can describe it. Lots of crazily tasty fresh dishes that arrive as they are ready. Genuinely, do yourself a favour, book a table, and your mouth will love you forever.... Went back last week...still amazing...love it

I made a reservation for my birthday and we were seated at the bar, which we thoroughly enjoyed! The food was amazing and the service was great. I highly recommend the pork belly and prawns, they were delicious! We were so impressed that we even booked another reservation for July before we left the restaurant. The prices were also very reasonable. I absolutely recommend this place.
The staff were super friendly and accommodating as we were a walk in and seated us even though it was busy. I had high hopes, but for me the food wasn’t great. Too much soya sauce in one dish, little flavour in the rice. Also had two main vegetarian options from what I could see, so limited choice.
Unbelievable dishes coming out of this restaurant. Barbecued plates of the highest order. Pork belly and sweetcorn are particular standouts. Other favs included the Lamb chops, aubergine in miso sauce and the cauliflower. No wonder you have to book months ahead! Go now!
Been here a number of times now. Hands down the best food in brighton! Always excellent flavours and at reasonable cost too. 5*
