Located in Farringdon, the area was quiet and relaxed, setting the tone for an intimate and attentive evening. The staff were professional and courteous, and the food was excellent. We enjoyed a delicious tomato salad with fresh heirloom varieties, followed by tableside prepared Chateaubriand. The food at this restaurant is excellent, but the price does not reflect the quality of the dishes. The chefs put a lot of effort into each dish, creating a perfect harmony of flavors. However, the service is lacking. The wait staff and managers have poor English skills, and do not ask about customer preferences or allergies before taking orders. The cleaning service is also lacking, as my table was never properly cleaned between courses. The Christmas atmosphere was nice, but the music kept cutting out. tried the 3 courses for £23 which is very reasonable given the quality arrived at 8PM on a Thursday and we were lucky enough to get a table for two straight away, would recommend booking though as it looked like there would be an initial 20 mind wait food was excellent, highly recommend the fish starter small intimate venue wine, especially the sweet wines, were outstanding staff were friendly, efficient and attentive overall, we had a good experience and highly recommend
The food was average, with some items being better than others. The terrine and salads were not impressive, and the pineapple carpaccio was terrible. The main dishes were decent. The service was friendly but incredibly slow and disorganized.

Brilliantly executed food, but without overpowering poshness. Very attentive service, definitely worth extra 12% service charge. Duck egg is a star, with so many textures and tastes, but overshadowed by rhubarb's souffle :
We recently celebrated our 30th anniversary in the private dining room and we cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff was wonderful, the food was delicious, and we had an amazing experience.
I had my 50th birthday party at this restaurant with my twin brother! The staff was incredibly accommodating and we received great feedback from our guests. Will definitely be returning!
I had risotto and a glass of wine. It was very nice but I thought it was a bit sharp of them to add £3.50 to the bill for a cover of water (on top of £4.56 service charge).
