The Restaurant Bisson in Rambouillet was created in 1973 by André Bisson Chef of the French football team from 1990 to 2004. After a good meal on the shaded terrace or in the room you can directly access the beautiful park of the Château de Rambouillet, and push your ride to the Bergerie Nationale. The French football team was the world champion in 1998, and the European Champion in 2000. André Bisson has worked and developed his cuisine in more than 70 countries around the world: Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, South Africa or he had the honour of being received by President Mandella. The reception was very commercial because we arrived 15 minutes before the opening. The manager kindly invited us to sit at a table in a nicely cozy and bright room. A lot of accustomed to the restaurant because in an hour it was full, about thirty covers, day before a holiday. It's a good sign! The service is very professional, attentive and the dishes served are of gastronomic quality to the visual that will put you well in appetite! The value-for-money ratio is very interesting for the quality presented and the proposed framework and some opinions regarding this establishment are not necessarily justified. We had a great culinary moment and I recommend it.

We were disappointed to find very few restaurants in this tourist trap town, but our meal at Bisson Andre was delightful and we would certainly detour to go there again. We chose from the set menu; there was plenty of choice and a good balance of meat and fish dishes. Portions were not enormous but as the starters and desserts were delicious this wasn't a problem as it allowed us to sample all three courses. The waiter was charming although he was certainly busy, working alone on a busy Saturday night, and the wine list was extensive, with a selection of reasonably priced items as well as some 'luxury' tipples.

Not many diners on a wet Thursday night so no excuse for the lacklustre service.Good value set menu with some imaginative dishes and the preparation and presentation were good. If the waiter looks like he might drop dead of boredom before you get to dessert, it is a bit off putting. Wouldn't rush back despite the good food.

We stayed in the hotel next door - as there were a few tables taken in this restaurant we decided to try it. Lovely decor. Very friendly. Food a la carte is excellent although very good value if you can find a starter and main course you like on the set menu. Would come back ;)
