Bistro La Nivelle

Turned up as a six.... and they managed to fit us in round a couple of tall tables. Service was excellent, and they were happy to keep us using our poor French, even though their English was excellent. Started with one of each of the tapas, all of which were excellent. Followed by almost one of each of the mains, which again were cooked to perfection. Not a long list of options, but what there was, was cooked well and service was really first class... excellent !! Thank you

We happened upon this restaurant on our first night in town and were wowed by the excellent cuisine and the outgoing staff. The owner saw us looking at the menu on the sidewalk and invited us in. We were so impressed the first night that we returned for lunch the next day and then for dinner again a couple of nights later. I really think these are among the best meals I've ever tasted!

On our way to Portugal, we have stayed several times in this beautifully renovated small family hotel, with two restaurants! It is always very pleasant with very friendly helpful staff! And the served food is superb. Normal prices are calculated for both the Hotel and the restaurants. This is a Hotel that I can recommend.

Great food from fresh local ingredients. The staff is very efficient and friendly, definitely a place I recommend. From the fish from the Cote Basque, to the list call meats the menu varies with what is in season. The prices are also very reasonable. Bon appétit

Outstanding food. Great service. Extremely recommended. What more do I need to say. Try it for yourself, the pudding was mind blowing.
