Went with my family. Only one server for the entire restaurant. The door was open as it was very hot inside /there was no air conditioning. Didn't help much to cool the restaurant but instead there were flys, moths and other assorted species everywhere.Took forever to both take our orders and then to receive our meals. It's apparent the owner doesn't want to spend a penny extra to ensure good service and a comfortable environment .One couple was about to leave when he noticed them and only then took their order.Scallops weren't too bad but a simpler sauce would have been a better choice. Pasta was undercooked and heavy. If we wanted al dente we would have asked for it.Lobster was pretty good....

It's a small restaurant with a limited choice of dishes but all of them seem very good, according to the people around us. We had maple syrop scallops with boiled red potatoes, absolutely delicious! The vegetable cream that came as a a first course was very good too. A French couple at the nearby table had lobster, they were delighted and a Belgian family at the end table seemed to adore the blue cheese sausages, specialty of the house. Unfortynately the owner was working alone being cook, waiter, barman, all at the same time. Which slowed the service a lot. However the atmosphere is very cool, nice Henry Salvador jazz music, playing like a murmur in your ear. Since it's a small restaurant w...

We went there after a long day at Percé and had to come back an hour later since it was full. When we came back we were sorry to hear that the restaurant had run out of pretty much everything but we could still order a very very good gaspesian speciality. The owner explained the reasons for his limited menu (mainly because he only uses fresh ingredients and sometimes he can't get everything he needs and prefers not serving instead of serving precooked food from the local market). All in all, THE restaurant you have to go to if you want to eat fresh food expertly cooked.

We read the reviews and thought that we would give it a try. We phoned to see if we needed reservations. No, they were not busy. When we got there we found no one else there. The owner gave us a list of things that he had. The catch of day was delivered by the fisherman while we sat there. Each meal came with soup - puree vegetables - poor. My wife had the catch of the day. I had the cod cakes. Her fish was fine. My cod cakes tasted more like potato cakes. Then the bill came. Guess what, they only take cash. This was not a problem for us.We will not be returning. Reserva una mesa ahora

The sign says it opens at 4:00pm so we drove around town until 5:00pm. When we arrived the person who served us was like we were bothering him. He was talking and drinking with some locals outside and it took all he had to come over to us. We wanted to eat and was told sorry we only serve food at 6:00pm. The sign never stated that. He wants you to drink for a couple of hours than eat. Well sorry for you we don't drink and went somewhere else that was very good. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

Reviews are on point. The owner takes care of service as well as food in the dimly light, underground "feel" of a restaurant that can barely squeeze in more than 15 guests at a time. However, that's exactly the charm of the spot! The service is super personalized and those cod patties... An instant classic! Give it a try if your not the "shine your shoes, wear your fancy shmancy pants to restaurant night" type of client!

If you want a quick meal, this place is not a good choice. The owner, chef, waiter, are one and the same, so you must be patient. It is almost like going to someone's home. Our experience was a very good one. We interacted with other patrons and the owner, which made for a pleasant evening. We enjoyed our homemade soup, lobster and pie.

Not very cosy restaurant, food was far the worst we had in 3 weeks canada. Had different dishes and everyone had the same feeling about his food. The only good thing was the bread. And you can not pay with creditcard . Reserva una mesa ahora

This restaurant is a must. Great quality home-made food. It was like having a dinner in my grandmother's home. It's definetely a great place to go to taste local food.
