Bistro L'hermitage

Fantastic experience as usual. We initially had planned on dinner at 7 but that changed, and we were seated earlier as we wished. It was very busy being prom night so lots of teenagers but it was fun. My wife and I each had a couple glasses of wine. Oyster appetizer was phenomenal as was my Caesar salad. I had the strip steak, again, amazing. My wife had the beef stew which she loved. Desserts and coffee fantastic too. We have been coming here for years and it’s great that we have a place like this that doesn’t require driving to Fairfax or DC. Service is top notch, always. Highly recommended.

We had a dinner reservation at 6:30 pm and felt like the server was rushing us the whole time. They treated us as if we were inexperienced in dining out. When it came to choosing our wine, the server simply asked us if we wanted white, red, or rosé. Our entrees took 30 minutes to be served. While the food was good, the portion sizes were overly large. It had been years since our last visit, and this visit was the worst experience we've had at this restaurant. It's unlikely that we will return, but we recommend that others give it a try.

While we have been to the Bistro our friends had not and they loved it. Again, the food is fantastic. I have never had a bad meal here. This vist's star was the eggplant and goat cheese tart as an appetizer and the lamb sausage appetizer. The service is outstanding. The Bistro is among very few restaurants that have a team approach to service. All you have to do is nod to a passing waiter and your needs are met.

The location was fantastic, the food was tasty, and the service was outstanding. However, due to the large number of people and the open layout of the restaurant, it was very noisy. We enjoyed a wonderful brunch at this restaurant. Despite some noise, we were seated near a window and on the edge of the room. It can be difficult for restaurants to create a completely quiet environment, but this is a crucial factor for me when deciding where to dine.

It was a bit loud and hard to hear because of a large group celebrating a birthday. The service, beverages and food were all excellent.
