Nous voulions essayer un nouveau restaurant pas trop loin de chez nous, le Bistro Nolah étant très bien côté sur ce site nous avons décidé de l'essayer. Bien que le service soit très avenant et compétent, il nous a été très difficile d'apprécier la nourriture à cause du niveau de bruit du restaurant. Le restaurant n'est pas très grand, avec le bar le long d'un mur, une terrasse couverte le long du mur d'en face et des baies vitrées sur le troisième mur. Le plafond est en pente, culminant en une sorte de coupole poutrée qui est probablement la cause de cette acoustique malheureuse. Du coup plus le nombre de convives augmente plus le bruit lui aussi augmente, et une table d'hommes assis un peu...
Bistro Nolah is a great hidden gem of a restaurant in the West Island. The food is phenomenal and over the many times we have visited this place there has never been a dish to disappoint. The service is warm and welcoming and feels very personal. The restaurant is an intimate setting so perfect for couples to enjoy. I wouldn't recommend it for young children as the food is a bit sophisticated for their palates. During the warmer months there is a covered outdoor terrace which is beautiful to sit in too! Made a last minute decision to go to Nolah last night and was not disappointed! Super busy but they found us a spot and service was reasonably efficient for the many diners enjoying the menu. The chef sent out a little bite - Hush Puppies! Nice touch! Interesting wine list and short but varied menu that we understood changed frequently. Our choices appetizer choices of an alligator dish and fresh heirloom tomato salads were beautifully presented and tasty. These were followed by our Blackened Catfish and Seared Scallops - both delicious and containing unusual little extra veggie bites e.g. Peruvian Bell pepper - teeny tiny little burst of flavor! We went to Bistro Nolah to celebrate a birthday. It was the first time for me and my wife and we were surprised to see the attention we got from the moment we entered the restaurant. The menu is very good but too spread out. The wine list is small but they have very interesting wines. We enjoyed our meals and found it absolutely delicious.The only thing is that it is much more expensive than many other comparable restaurants in the West Inland. I would suggest that they lower the price of wines or have a different selection and offer wine by the glass.Nevertheless we enjoyed and will be back when the budget permits.

My daughter found this trendy but expensive restaurant in DDO and we decided to go there tonight !We started with salads / soup .The main course , some had the Icelandic cod , BrusselsSprouts with corn kernels , string beans and 1 cherry tomato halved.My son had mac and cheese , I had the shrimp Creole, with green beans and grits .For dessert we shared bread pudding served with berries , yumAnd tea and coffee ! Of course. !And the wine was great " Friends " fromCalifornia.
Service was amazing, the wine prices are good, but the food is fantastic! Had the seafood gumbo which was a very generous portion, and i was completely full. Everyone licked their plates clean. The shrimp in the gumbo were large and nicely cooked. The gumbo flavour was delicious and just the right amount of heat. I'd recommend it to anyone. We also had one of their cocktails called the Nolah Splash which was very, very good and an imported beer.
Nothing but good things to say about me and my wife's first brunch experience at Nolah last weekend. Beautiful outdoor terrasse, the service was A1, the cocktails were boozy and the brunch itself was incredible. We had the buttermilk fried chicken with french toast and the smoked ham benedict on cornbread with the creole hollandaise sauce. Every bite was better than the previous one. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to go back again!
Food is just a beautiful presentation, and very tasty and delicious. Staff very curtious to deal with and very nice atmophere.

Had a wonderful New-Orleans style dinner. Great service, great food. Beautiful Terrasse. A must try.
