Bistro Restaurant at The Maid

I used to love the maid! The last 2 times I have been there I have received the most disgraceful service. As a former hospitality worker of 8 years I feel as though I am pretty understanding of the the conditions. Last time I was here I waited 15 minutes at the bar only to be told that the cocktail of the hour finished 5 minutes ago. I preceeded to mention this to my friend to ask what she would like instead, only to be told by an extremely rude young girl behind the bar that she was too busy. Great Meal Great service not sure why all the negative comments?. Perhaps there has been a lot of staff rotation, but we have eaten at the Maid with a group of friends twice in the past 4 months and found the Bistro food to be of excellent proportions and the staff helpful. The menu has something for all tastes the burgers are great as are the steak and the chicken. Sweets are good and the cheese platter represents really good value. Gets my vote and I will keep it on my list of places to go for a good meal at a fair price in a nice surrounding.

Great lunch venue. I work nearby so go here quite regularly for lunch. It's excellent value for money, has a creative menu and the quality of the food is always very good. The wine list is smallish but with lots of Australian wines. The atmosphere is modern and fresh with good outdoor lighting, and the staff are always very friendly. a local Adelaide favourite, they can always rely on the maid for a high quality meal. recently visited a group booking for a birthday party and all 12 guests were satisfied. the only complaining is that a beverage order of cocktails and spirits had to be made in the front bar and lasted as long as it would have desired. great service, great eating and beautiful decor as well as quite expensive. is always

when she dinner to celebrate birthdays with family, very disappointed on a moderate menu. partner ordered pork bell and it was hard and cold as veggies. in the new year we have a function in this hotel, but will now also look at other ways.

Holy moly, the pepper steak pie should be called the steak pepper pie.... If you catch what I mean. It blew my head off, and I'm still trying to find it! The steak chunks were so generous in the pie I really needed a steak knife.
