Bistrot Campagnard

Staying at Holiday Inn Bougival for 3 nights we had been told there was nowhere to eat!! But luckily we found this little gem of a restaurant and had a wonderful 3 course meal for just 13 euros which included a lovely glass of sangria,...it was by far the best meal we had during the whole 4 day stay and surely surpassed the 10 euro poor excuse for an omelette we had at Montmatre (what a rip off). The lovely waitress could not have been more welcoming and helpful and the chef cooked the food to order, bread was included (plenty) and food was delicious and very flavourful and delivered hot. The only sad thing was that the restaurant was closed on the Sunday so we could not eat there again and...

I used to go to this place in time I traveled in the area. At the time, the chef was the most authentic country bistrot artist you can find. Since he retired, it had never been the same. The new owner, Chef Philippe (Not sure...of his last name) has not only raised the bar all the way back up but he has his own signature of old fashion cuisine with a surprise . It it the place that fits the most the heritage of the impressionist village of Bougival, only 15 mns from Paris. I cannot wait for my next trip back as my friends and I spotted many dishes we want to try.

I never rated a restaurant here. but after eating here I had to, this is simply the best food and service that they can find in this area, brilliant little restaurant, with the best staff ever, they are there for them and makes it a...ful pleasure to go there, I try to go there for all business meetings, but also private. love it

the eating is great (both quality and quantity,) the crew is very friendly and all possible do to ensure that they enjoy the experience, the atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice (you can observe how the cook prepared their meal,) the prices are reasonable.

general portions, good family atmosphere, amazing southwestern kitchen. vegetarian stay away, meat lovers it is paradies!
