We called in on the strength of a friends recommendation. Turns out the best time to go is Friday night when they have Tartine night, but we were there for a weekday lunch. We arrived here at about 1330hrs, well after French lunch start time due to a longer than expected bike ride, but were made very welcome by madame, who was running the place with a lady chef. The only other people in the place were a group of 7 older locals. Set lunch menu was very interesting and tasty, with a simple radish and chive dip starter and an exceptional main course of delicious home made rissole with a portion of salsify, plus dessert. Very good value. A pity it was our last day in the area!

This is a classic dining experience with unpretentious local food making for a lovely lunch with excellent chef/ owner. Local specialities of the Lyon area. Classic setting in a small village surrounded by grape growing areas of the valley. A great tourist experience of French hospitality.

Ambiance bistro, ce restaurant certes modeste offre un menu du jour de bonne qualité, type fait maison.Pour un prix de l ordre de 13€, une entrée , un plat copieux et un désert correct.Accueil et service rapide et sympa. Salle climatisée. A conseiller.
Restaurant super sympa,la cuisine est entièrement faite maison,les assiettes sont généreuses,le vendredi soir c'est soirée tartines,il faut vraiment goûter les frites !!La patronne est charmante est très douce! On passe un excellent moment!!

Bonjour, le vendredi c'est "tartines" façon brushetta pour ceux qui connaissent. Accompagné de frites maisons et d'une salade verte, c'est un délice et vraiment abordable. Testé avec les enfants: ils ont adorés.
Un bon petit moment à Chavanay dans la loire ou en plus il y as du très bon vin de bonne cave .Bon oetit endroit
