We found this by chance on the way back from Rambouillet to Houdan, having found nowhere that appealed to us for lunch in Rambouillet. We have just return from our second visit. Our starters today were a tasty brûlée of goats cheese and I had pate de Houdan, a chicken pâte of a particular local breed of chicken served with mushrooms in pastry. I had offal on both occasions, kidneys and today liver. My wife also enjoyed the kidneys, well the perfume of them. I reeked of garlic for two days. I like my meat generally pink, and today's liver was about as soft as my wife's delicious scallops. She said that they would have been improved today by having a sauce with them, but still were very enjoya...
