We spent a wonderful vacation in St. Jorioz and Annecy area. One of the evenings we had dinner at Auberge Le Semnoz although we have not stayed on there and were overwhelmed by the personal attention received from JEAN PHILLIPE HERISSON, the chef and the owner. Although his restaurant was full of guests (two buses of hungry guests just arrived…) he found also time to spend with us giving personal attention to us and to the menu served (one of my friends was diabetic and required special meal that Jean Phillipe prepared for him). Moreover he was very kind to agree that we drink our own wine bought during a visit to a local vineyard, during the meal without any extra charges…We were delighted to find an excellent French Cuisine at its best, testing from his specialties over 3 courses dinner followed by a great desert: assorted lemon pie, chocolate cake served with homemade ice cream, cream and fresh berries (our friend received also a great dessert prepared specially for him). This excellent French meal was charged at the reasonable price of 20 Euro per person. Great, great value for our money!!! The impeccable service provided by an experienced and kind French waitress speaking fluent English together with the personal friendly attention of Jean Phillipe and the great tasty menu, made this evening the best culinary experience during our trip in Haute-Savoie.Merci Jean Phillipe for the unforgettable dinner and pleasant experience. You earned our warm recommendation and was a great pleasure knowing you. Not sure who gives Michelin stars to restaurants but this one provides an excellent French cuisine at reasonable prices and worth your visit.10 out of 10 points on our international traveler experience scale.
