I saw someone post a picture of a platter on Instagram and since I live right in West Babylon, I figured I'd check it out. This is one of the best places to grab barbecue food. Everything is house made! The owner has a big personality, He's a super guy, and you can tell he's very passionate about what he does. The food tasted amazing, and the portion sizes are huge!!! The cornbread alone is about 5 inches tall! I got the 1/2 rack ribs with a side of beans and chili mac (highly recommend) if your in the area def check this place out! Its a hidden gem ?
I ordered the baby back ribs, baked beans, and mac and cheese. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with the baked beans or the mac and cheese. The ribs were decent, but the mac and cheese was undercooked, with some of the noodles still hard. Additionally, it lacked any seasoning at all. The baked beans had a unique taste that didn't appeal to me, and I didn't care for the BBQ sauce either. Overall, the ribs were the best part of the meal. If I return, I'll probably just stick to the baby back ribs.
I have not enjoyed a BBQ place as much as Bitterman's in many years. The quality and taste of the food is top notch and friendly atmosphere of the owner and worker in the establishment is also refreshingly nice to see. Their chili-mac and baked beans are the best I've ever eaten in my life and the ribs and pulled pork are superb. I would heartily suggest anyone to try the food there and enjoy the good natured candor from the owner. You won't be disappointed.
Absolutely amazing food. The pulled pork was delicious and mouthwatering, the chili spicy enough to be hot but maintained every iota of flavor, and the garlic mashed potatoes were smooth, buttery, garlic y, and amazing. The proportions are amazingly huge, not merely filling but full to bursting. Atop all of this, nothing can beat the hospitality and atmosphere personable, real, and awesome!

Great food and atmosphere! As soon as I walked in Joe greeted me and asked if it was my first time there and I was presented with samples of baked beans and chili Mac and cheese.When the time came to eat and get down to business I was amazed at the portions and quality for the price I paid. As delicious as it was I could not finish in one sitting. Definitely will be going back!
What a treat! You'll be full for a day and a half, and you'll love it! Delicious food, filling and absolutely wonderfully tasty. Limited menu but everything on it is superb. Nothing to disappoint. The people are real characters, in a very fun way. They treat everyone great. Not much room to sit, but then again I've never been there and not gotten a table if I wanted one.
Absolutely fantastic!!! This was my husband and I's first visit, and we were treated wonderfully. The restaurant is impeccably clean! Joe welcomed us and asked if it was our first time here. He offered us samples to help us make our choices. I highly recommend this place! The food is incredible, and Joe, the owner, made our experience even more enjoyable!!!

I decided to go with the trifecta, and I couldn’t have been more pleased. The portion size, flavor, and overall service were all exceptional! I can't wait to return.

From walking in to getting my food everything was spectacular. Love the fact that I now have an amazing BBQ spot close to me. Joe showed the love he has for BBQ and pride in what he makes. Will definitely be coming back for more.
Food is out of this world, great BBQ doesn’t even need sauce. Portions are also huge!
