We also enjoyed a chicken panini combined with a delightful cheese, fresh greens, and tomatoes—it was so substantial that I saved half of it for dinner later. For dessert, we took home a blackberry pie that was truly exceptional. It was the best I've ever tasted, with fresh berries that were perfectly sweet. This restaurant gives off the warm and inviting feeling of a big hug. The decor is stunning, creating a lovely atmosphere. The food is incredibly delicious, and the service is top-notch. The outdoor areas are on par with any nearby nature preserve. One standout feature is their Pay It Forward Board, which is worth experiencing in person to fully grasp its significance. It’s all about doing something kind for someone you don’t know. Hats off to the staff for their outstanding work—they have set a high standard for every other restaurant out there.
This restaurant offers fantastic food. Unfortunately, my mom and I arrived just as the morning rush was winding down, and we ended up waiting two hours from the moment we joined the line until we finally got to eat. It was quite frustrating! We were so hungry that we didn’t even take pictures of the delicious dishes. However, I did snap a few photos of a very thin cat that I tried to share some of my waffle whipped cream with. He really enjoyed it! Also, this was the first time I was served genuine maple syrup.
This is a fantastic restaurant! The food is definitely worth the journey—I'd travel an hour and a half just to eat here. The ambiance is charming and enjoyable, and the service is excellent. The dishes are incredibly unique. We tried the carrot cake after the park ranger recommended it, and it was the best I've ever tasted. The Bitter Burger was also the best I've ever had. This restaurant was fantastic! The atmosphere was delightful, and I really enjoyed dining outside amidst the beautiful plants and flowers. My kids described it as if they were eating in the middle of an enchanted garden! It was our first time at Bittersweet Cafe, and my children rated it with two thumbs up and ten stars each! They are already eager to return again tomorrow! We're definitely planning to visit this wonderful spot again the next time we’re in the area. We highly recommend it!

We really enjoyed our meal here BUT. We waited an hour and a half to get it. Perhaps we had bad timing and came after a morning rush. It would have been fine if we could sit and have a coffee or smoothie while waiting, but this place is counter service, so waiting means standing in line. Nonetheless, the food was very good. Such a beautiful gem we stumbled upon in our travel in the area! The staff were warm and friendly, the atmosphere was cozy and positive, full of thoughtful scripture. You can tell there?s a lot of love and kindness here, and it transcends into interactions with customers and care that goes into food and drink.
