Just visited BK Sweeney's on 12/16/22. Bar was busy but lots of tables open and now I know why. Me and my wife had been here a long time ago and decided to try it out again and that was a mistake. First thing I noticed is the kitchen. I saw how they were making the food and I should have known let's leave it at that. So we sit down, I order the French Dip and quite honestly the meat had no taste, was fatty and after a few bites I couldn't swallow it anymore. I left over three-quarters of my meal and even the busboy after he looked at it said he wouldn't take it home either. My wife ordered as an ap the soft pretzels; how bad could it be. The restaurant was probably understated. We were a party of six who sat in time for our reservation. It took some time for a waitress to come, and a party of two sitting next to us was 20 minutes before our food came. Our food came more than an hour after we set ourselves and easily 40 minutes after our order. The only thing that was ordered was the signature of Burger. In addition, a feature was omitted on two of the plates. We also paid for a charge of perpetrators to 3 if the plates. These were probably at the bottom of the quality of anyone I've ever eaten. They were too crispy, and once you put a fork in them, they fell apart. No one ensured that our water glasses were always refreshed,...
The place is decorated so nice for Christmas and the place has a nice ambiance .But my satisfaction ends there...My husbands pork bbq sandwich was so dry he said it sucked the moisture out of his mouth. My French dip was utterly tasteless and unremarkable, as was the au jus. The service was also slow and inattentive. The competing stars of my dish were the pickle chips and the fries which are hand cut but greasy; so I guess the pickle chips win and lose as $17.95 for four thin sliced picked makes them some damn spendy pickle chips!Too many good places here in GC to be back.P.S. yes, we were caterers, so we know what having a stake in the outcomes mean...
Nice cozy place, full bar large assortment of beers bottle and on tap. The food is very good, hamburgers are excellent, the fish Stix were a little to well done and you couldn't enjoy the taste, they need to fried them in either a different oil or a shorter time to enjoy the flavor. The steak salad was delicious skirt steak the atmosphere is nice and cheery plenty of parking in the rear it not a big place so get there early to get a table

Had lunch today. They now charge the customer 4% to use credit card. They call it a 4% cash discount. NONSENSE. I resent you asking me to cover your cost of being in business. FYI, your server received 4% reduction in tip and it was placed on credit card, not in cash, which I have always done in the past.
Big fan of Sweeny's in Garden City. Great for lunch, dinner or just a drink at the bar. Beautiful atmosphere, food is always great and more demanding than a standard bar and barbecue. Your specialties are always great. Very recommended. Food: 5/5
Great atmosphere with great pub food. The Jets-Tailgate shuttle from here (big deal) and came back for some urgently needed buffalo wings. Very recommended for a Gameday spot. Great bartenders too, really nice people.
My daughter decided to go here for his birthday and we were all very happy with the food. It was a very well-rounded menu (fixed pub selections) and a full bar with all football matches. We're definitely going back.

Great staff great atmosphere, always a friendly vibe and the food is outstanding.. the bartenders can hold a conversation and still serve the bar promptly
During the week for lunch. Had wings that were perfect and a burger that was great. I'll try some other items again!
