Black Angus Steakhouse Puyallup

Not sure what happened to black angus. Went to dinner Saturday Jan and had oz ribeye steaks for my wife and I along garlic cheese bread. The bread come and first bite was disgusting. They don’t say on the menu they add mayonnaise to the dish. Sent that back. The steaks came. I had broccoli and baked potato. The baked potato was great. Broccoli was undercooked but warm. The steak didn’t look like a ribeye. Thin steak filled with fat. I’m fact when done a of the steak was fat. Outside of the steak and right through the center. I asked for medium but got closer to well done. My wife steak was the same but more fat. The Mac and cheese side was good. She didn’t finish the steak barely eating it as it was very unappealing with all the fat. Desert was good though. For the cost of a steak house steak this steak wasn’t steak house quality. I’d expect this at a restaurant like Dennys. This is the Puyallup location. I doubt we’ll be back.

Kay, our server ,was excellent. She was there when we needed her, and answered any questions we had about dinner options. The food was good overall (the broccoli I had was not quite cooked in some spots) and my husband couldn't even finish his meal since he had such a large cut of prime rib. It was a nice way to get out of the house and enjoy a meal I didn't have to cook or do the dishes with. We have eaten here before, but not in a long time, so it was nice to be normal again, even if for a short while.

Great food, except the salads have been changed and are not very good. Like eating leaves. Definitely not a regular iceberg salad and that was disappointing. I won't recommend the restaurant unless they go back to regular iceberg lettuce salads.
