Went here for the second time and it was an experience worth writing a review for I guess. Service is good, waiter was nice enough, but I ordered the NY Strip medium rare and it was more medium than rare. I double checked with the waiter and asked what I ordered, in case he wrote down well done or something, and he said I did request medium rare. Told him the steak was overcooked and he just apologized, lol. I already ate half the steak at that point so I understand why hedidn?t offer a new one, though. FOOD TAKEN OFF PLATE IN MIDDLE OF MEAL. I ordered BBQ Ribs Chicken and received a plate of chicken. I let my server know I got the wrong food, server was kind and said no problem we will make this right and bring out the rest of your food. Five minutes later server returns with a small plate in hand and asks me to remove a piece of chicken from my plate that I am eating from!!! Needless to say I did not finish my meal, it was ruined. I have never in my life had a serverask for food from my plate as I was eating. THIS IS TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT. After 12 years of my last visit, I came in here looking for a great steak, at any price. I ordered the closest thing to a surf and turf: rib eye steak with some shrimp. Multiple times stressing that I like it rare. After a disappointing old fashioned cocktail, I got my meal. Besides a few lonely looking shrimp that seemed to hitchhike their way onto the plate, I got a decent steak. But not a great steak. Also it was definitely not rare. If I'm gonna leave behind $70 perperson, I wanna be impressed about SOMETHING. At least the server was friendly. Will I ever come back?... probably not.
When we arrived restaurant not busy. Some parts of the dining experience was unsatisfactory. One steak over cooked, asked for medium well, received well well done, killed the vibe. Waiter too rushed, not very attentive and made us feel rushed, unwelcomed. We asked for A1 Sauce, waiter said there was none, yet table across from us had A1 Sauce?? Overall experience just okay, this visit.

Wow! Black Angus has really stepped up their game. The Rib eye 17 oz for $37 is a nice deal. Sure this is not a Ruth Chris or 555 but BA is a nice value. Casual dining and Sean at the Torrance location is outstanding. I’m happy we rediscovered BA!
Sean the server was outstanding. Food was very well prepared. Food has gotten much better from the past.
Prime rib barely cooked. Fried shrimp not war. Busy night but not our fault.
The service was excellent. The steaks were ok. The price was good.
