2 Stars for the young ladies doing their best . Felt very uncomfortable and out of place thanks to the locals and their constant stares. Now as far as the food it was not so good. We had a party of 9 and 7 of us agreed we would never return. My chicken strips on my waffle were just over cooked and hard. My orange juice was served in a dirty cup with lipstick on the rim. The meatloaf is far from any meatloaf I have ever experienced and it was just not to anyone's liking at our table. The ice cream is good and the burger was also good. Fried chicken and country fried was fine also.
Black Bear Diner in Lodi, California is a delightful restaurant that serves breakfast entrees at all times as well as dinner dishes. The entrees are under $20. The portion sizes are substantial. We liked the meatloaf and pot roast dishes. The dinnerentrees come with a side salad or soup. The first cornbread are complimentary. After that, there is a charge for cornbread. Charges for takeout bags. We recommend the huckleberry ice cream. Ample seating, good servicr.
Food was decent but nothing too exciting. Coffee tasted weird and didn't drink it. The waitress never said anything so still paid most $4. Eggs weren't cooked correctly but again, waitress was m.i.a. so nothing got fixed there. Was hungry so we ate but probably won't be back to a black bear for awhile.
Was really craving meatloaf and anxiously looking forward to trying your recipe. Service was great, all other food on menu was as expected, and the milkshakes were great. Unfortunately the meatloaf resembled bagged meat or liver. It was edible, but not something I would ever order again.

Delicious brisket. I was worried it wouldn't be flavorful, but it is, and I've never seen such a huge amount of hashbrowns given in my life. Good price for the amount of food they give you. Will be hitting this place up again!
Very few places you can go to eat today that has great service, healthy portions, and good food. Always a pleasant experience. Today I had the BlackBerry stuffed French toast, and it was lovely! I highly recommend.
Service was fast and courteous. I had the French dip and it was good but the bread wasn't my favorite. Salad was fresh and my friends French dip and fries were excellent by her report.
