Black Bear (japanese Fusion)

He read some reviews that were mixed. Some were good, some were bad, but we still decided to try it out. We were really disappointed in the quality of the food for the price we were paying. It honestly was something I could have put together quickly at home. The rice bowl I ordered was basically slices of beef cooked in water and placed on top of rice with minced garlic and chopped onions and seaweed. The bowl was very bland, no flavour in the meat and the sauce was very bland as well so the while dish was just not good at all. I normally don't write reviews like these but I'm sorry, it was just a really bad experience. Not anything like any other fusion restaurants we have tried.

The term "Japanese Fusion" caught us off guard. We were hoping for a variety of seafood options and diverse dishes, but it turns out they primarily offer classic burger alternatives. That's pretty much it. If you’re a burger lover looking for a twist, you might really enjoy this place. However, our disappointment grew when we realized that some of the gorgeous seafood dishes featured on their website were no longer available.

I think they simply offer classic burger alternatives. so if they are a burger and want something different, they will love this place. I think we were even more disappointed when we listed some of the beautiful seafood dishes on their menu on their website was no longer offered.

have been several paintings to black bear and love the fact that the menu is as different as anywhere I have ever been. service is fast and pleasant. some dishes are excellent, others good. The servers are friendly and nice. We ate urchin pasta and kyudon rice I believe(? pasta was great but the rice has a lot of room for improvement. Overall was great. I will definitely go to try other dishes next time!

Food was good and price is reasonable. However they need more staffs on the floor. We have been there more than once and always 1 girl serving entire floor which was not enough during lunch time!

Anna and Carmen were amazing servers! Poutine was delicious and desserts were great. Worth checking out!

Service was so bad. The server gave us an attitude and we had such a bad experience.
