Black Bear Lodge Saloon

Completely over priced. Food was mediocre at best. Black bear Lodge is trying to be something they're not. I ordered the prime rib sandwich. My first red flag should have been when the waitress never asked ,e how I wanted my steak. Her response was they don't do that for the prime rib sandwich. When my food came it was laying on a pan opened faced ciabatta roll. The prime rib was approximately 1/4 inch thick, gray in color and no life left. My sister from the next table could see it grayand quite frankly, was completely over cooked. When I tried cutting into it it was very difficult and the top half of the roll went flying. In addition to it being completely over cooked the the consistency of shoe leather, it also had no flavor. It took the waitress quite a while to return to our table after delivering our orders, therefore, after explaining to our waitress what was wrong and I needed to send it back, I chose not to re-order anything else. It simply would have taken to Long and quite frankly from the nibbles that was offered to me, the food was lacking in multiple areas.

Booth was comfortable and the staff very friendly. My wife had a new york strip steak that was cooked perfectly. She and I absolutely loved the au gratin potatoes!! I had club sandwich that was good. We had a couple drinks with dinner, she had wine and I had a long Island tea. The tea was not good and only tasted the booze. Other than that, it was a great dining experience.

Chicken wild rice soup was very good and creamy! It is a must have. The other items we got that was very good was was the mac cheese bites (reaper sauce was mild) the Ruben sandwich. The lobster bisque soup doesn’t have much lobster bites, it very small and shredded. This will be the place to go for lunch!

Absolutely phenomenal! Nice place, great service, and if you love a good steak like me, it is one of the few places I found that a rare steak can cook properly. If you're in the area, make this stop a priority. You won't regret it!

Best gluten-free cake EVER. I fled to the ceiling after a bite. Dinner and service were also amazing. The high stands feel private and beautiful place to visit and catch.
