black lion is short walk from train/bus station . we pass a wetherspoons on westborough to pass time with luggage till black lion opens then walk on past loads of shops and north st on left. the accomodation very CLEAN AND BASIC . we prefer family room as its worth paying extra ten pounds for big size of room. . no ensuite in any rooms. rooms on very short corridor and toilets and bathrooms at end of corridor. . we liked new carpet on stairs and staff were lovely . we have stayed here before and will again . During a visit to the area, we stopped by to watch the opening night of a rugby match (World Cup). We requested the TV to be turned on, and the staff had no problem accommodating us. They even lowered the volume of the jukebox for our enjoyment. We felt very welcome, thanks to the great bar staff. The price per person ranged from £10 to £20. The food quality was rated as 1, the service was rated as 5, and the atmosphere was rated as 4.

We stayed here for one night never again the mattress was awful well past it i had springs poking me all night didn't sleep well at all.the decor the wall paper was coming away from the walls the room requires a very much needed make over Price per person: £40–50

Stayed in a two bedroom room for one night, was great value for money and would use again in the future if we were to return. Can't comment on the food or drink as we ate out so was a good experience overall. Reserva una mesa ahora

This traditional pub is definitely worth a visit for a drink. The price per person ranges from £1 to £10. The service and atmosphere both received a rating of 3.
