After all, you can’t go to a seafood restaurant by the ocean and not get crab legs! I'm not sure how anyone could give this restaurant anything less than a 5-star rating. If I could, I would rate Blackbeard's a 10! This was the best overall dining experience I've ever had. The service was outstanding, and the food was incredible. The atmosphere was fantastic, and they are very accommodating for families with kids. The drinks were great, and I enjoyed the raw oysters, blackened salmon, and prime rib cooked to medium rare—it just melted in my mouth. The prices for both food and drinks are fantastic for the quality you receive. If you're in the area, this restaurant is a must-visit. Don't miss it!
As a Canadian visiting for a short time, I’m thrilled to have New Smyrna as my go-to restaurant! Getting a reservation can sometimes be a challenge, but last night was my lucky night! I brought my fiancé, and we only had to wait an hour, which was absolutely worth it! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was excellent. Our drinks and food arrived quickly, and I can confidently say this place has the BEST prime rib on the planet! Be sure to order it and enjoy!
Top notch restaurant all around. Delivered a boat down the road and this place was highly recommended and I see why. The staff was super friendly and very attentive to the whole restaurant and its patrons during the dinner rush. The food was delicious and the Cajun Prime Rib just melted in your mouth. The food was at best mediocre. It arrived cold, and the stuffed shrimp was unidentifiable, drenched in grease. The crab cakes lacked flavor and seemed to be made with canned crab. Our server visited us just once and ignored our complaint about the cold food. I couldn’t even get a refill on my drink. I won’t be returning.
Had a wonderful dinner. The waiter Jimmy was awesome. I highly recommend asking for him. He was very attentive and made us laugh several times. Ask for his drink called ?Tied to a bed post?. He even wrote down the recipe. Food was good and drinks were great. Love happy hour and early bird combined.
We come to Blackbeard's every year! Love it here! The soup, salad, breads, and of course the seafood are delicious! If you get Jimmy as your waiter, he is excellent! Very personable and very funny. Good staff makes it all even more worthwhile. Got the key lime pie to go and it is out of this world!
