The location is stunning. The views from the covered terrace are amazing. The food though is a bit of a mixed bag. We had razor clams (a bit chewy and gritty), local cheese (lovely but it's, you know, cheese) and fried foie gras (lovely), followed by spinach gnocchi in cheese sauce (stand out dish), veal chop (ok) and my wife selected the prawns main course. 6 prawns in a bowl does not a main course make. They were nice prawns but at 4 Euros each, they needed to be. Cocktails were good. Service was pleasant from some of the wait staff and indifferent from others. Price was pretty high considering the quality. Seems to trade on location more than great food. We wouldn't return.
We have visited here two years in a row on 1 August for a family birthday party with 15 people. A really great performance on both occasions - for which many thanks. On this occasion I had one of the best foie gras I think I've ever had. The staff could not do enough for my elderly Mother. There was a misunderstanding about a reserved table downstairs resolved by the manager immediately. The music afterwards was good too as were the cocktails. Fantastic views of the sea before and during sunset. Need more magnums on the menu - but would recommend unreservedly.
Not the cheapest but then I guess you're also paying for the lovely location. Food and service were good and well presented. A little trek out to f Biarritz (c 15 euro by taxi each way) but worth it to escape the hustle and bustle. Beach Club - like atmosphere.
We went for a lunch and, surprise, great table in front of the Ocean. Waves were amazing and we enjoyed the great meal. Highly recommended.
